Great stuff, Mike. An amazing variety of trains, railroads, and power on the Southern Tier from the late 70's through the late 80's. Please keep these gems coming!

The period when D&H was part of Guilford extended New England railroading to Buffalo. Being an occasional New Englander, I had a tie between two places where I grew up and railfanned. Chasing those Guilford trains around was a lot of fun. Too bad it did not last very long, before the D&H fell into bankruptcy. It is fascinating that Norfolk Southern is back in New England forty years after they had an opportunity to keep D&H when Conrail was being created.

A working semaphore, no container cars, no graffitti...whats not to love in this photo. Darn I miss this era.
