While I'm 99% of the time a steam fan, I sure do like the Santa Fe war bonnet F7's (and 'E' units too). The Sante Fe war bonnet paint scheme on the E and F units is a classic. Thanks for sharing.

Nice composition Dustin. Please tell me they are going to keep her (she was outside on display when I was there years ago). I think she is one -if not the- last Warbonnet F7 left..?

This engine and livery is every bit as impressive today as it was when it was first introduced! There's a place in every steam fans heart reserved for a Santa Fe F unit. Great shot, Dustin!

There is a Warbonnet F7 preserved at the Museum of the American Railroad in Dallas, #49L. However, it's a former CN locomotive dressed up as a Santa Fe unit and given what would have been the next available number in the passenger-numbered ATSF F7s.
