Very nice photo. I saw stop signs on the tracks like this in Columbus, Ohio when I was riding an Ohio Central Special. We had to stop for them. How common are these?

It looks to me like every photo of an NS Dash 8 or 9 40C these units are in desperate need of a coat of fresh paint.
