No point in sugar coating this scene. Hope we don't read about this individual in later years ...

I hope you yelled at them, also looks like they put some coins on the track too.

I was there and shot that MWATBAR... must have been about 1/2 an hour earlier based on the light.

Everything is positioned just perfectly in this image (except for the children, that is). Nicely captured.

Thanks for the comments. This type of scene is rather common at the train station in Fullerton and no, I didn't yell at anyone because Mom and Dad are just out of frame to the left. At one time I suppose I would have said something, but not any more. I figure fate favors the ignorant and irresponsible, and Darwinian dumb luck is on the side of people like this.

Im realy supprised that a station like Fullerton has no CCTV in operation and that no body told them to get off the line. All of our main stations here in the UK have CCTV in operation for this very purpose aswel as public protection. Even so, dozerns are still killed by trains whilst tresspasing and you can certainly see why here. We should be edjucating our kids in the dangers of messing around on the tracks! Its also a nightmare for the engineers / drivers and the folk who have to litteraly pick up the peices when the "fun" goes wrong!

There are no cameras at Fullerton because it seems that no one ever gets killed at Fullerton unless they want to get killed. Sure there have been a few deaths in the last few years and incidents involving human and train "contact." But all of those incidents have been intentional, rather than "accidental."

But those diesels just don't measure up in pennymaschismo as do the old steamers. I've sacrificed pennies to both varieties of power. Even a Pennsy B6 switcher made a larger pizza pie out of a penny than did any diesel.

You can only tell people what to do so many times. What they do depends on if they just heard you or if they were actually listening.
