Why does the speedometer say your going 37 MPH and the amp gauge show a decent load, yet your feet away from a red signal and a derail?

I think it might be 3.7 MPH.
Throttle is in #1 position which is like idle?

One can barley see the dot between the 3 and the 7, making it 3.7mph. I have no idea why the amp meter is high. We were traveling light and the '04 is a notoriously strange loading locomotive. In the next couple of shots, the amp meter is almost at 900A when the loco is stopped and going in reverse. Nature of the beast? *shrugs*
