David DeVault and Ron Flanary together are a hard combination to beat ! Both of them are wonderful photographers and a great source of the history of railroads in our time. When they get together great things result. They are truly masters of their crafts as both authors and photographers. We all learn from their combined talents. I humbly thank both of them for their posting of this historic photograph.

I have many fond memories of the many fan trips I was a part of behind the GTW 6322 in the 60’s. Most were from Chicago to South Bend and a few were to as far as to Battle Creek, MI and return. I still have a flyer ad for one of the trips... cost was $15 back then.

This is great! I recognize my Dad and Uncle on the hillside furthest to the right on the other side of the tracks. I have my Uncle's photo from moments before this image was taken, with the fellow with the hat in front of him! Thanks for posting this.
