Excellent. You really have a point about Atlanta needing more commuter rail. The traffic in Atlanta is terrible. Thanks for documenting the temporary truncation, too.

As a matter of fact when a proposal was put on the ballots about MARTA extending to the northern metro area it was voted down. A bunch of not so smart types managed to convince voters that there would be more crime from Atlanta if criminals could just ride a train, do their mayhem, and catch a train back. I would rather board a train near here to go to places like Philips Arena and the Georgia Dome than fight heavy traffic. I guess the penance they do for this improper decision is incredibly heavy commutes.

Great parallel highway/train image. I like how the curve of the still amtrak train compliments the curve of the freeway - alive with action.
