Correction, the 3100 series consisted of the GP40-2's and the three GP60's, the SD40t-2 number series started after 5340. How ever still an incredible pic, but than again any pic of the Rio Grandw is.

Now this is the SP I fell in love with. I really miss seeing these as to the fact that the UP trains look rather boring. The old shades of gray that were on those engines along with the types of letters always made them fun to watch.

Beautiful shot of the inter-connection between tank cars on the "Oil Train." New pipeline in Mojave ended the "Oil Train" in November 1996.
