The 227 wound up as one of Maine Central's parts queens at Waterville, Maine. 227 kept not only her sister U25Bs going and also the U18Bs and the Ex-D&H U23Bs going as well. By the time I found her in the Waterville dead line, she was still in this paint scheme, but very badly rusted, thanks to being left outdoors in Maine winters. It was scrapped late in the '80s,/early 90s.
