I must say it look a lot better than I expected! Not sure about the large area of red on the side, but that will get covered in dirt pretty quickly anyway.

It's not a restoration - just an in service unit repainted into the new colours. The original locomotive, B66, was delivered around 1952 and rebuilt as an A class in 1984.

Certainly an interesting interpretation of the Hamburger paint, Chris. I don't "get" the patch of grey on the side. . .I guess it was used on the N class and specs called for it to be there whether it looks right or not?
An improvement over the Red/Blue predecessor scheme. . . but still can't top the original blue/yellow VR "Erie" paint scheme. . .
