The Lamoille Valley had no future after it lost its freight business. They kept going on excursion trains, which was no way to keep a viable business alive considering where they were. It was a grand experience, even with the RS3s replacements RS11s from Central Vermont and an ex-Norfolk & Western GP9. Too bad there was no economic justification to keep the Lamoille Valley going.
