There was no Train-X demonstration tour. By the time of this photo, this ex-New York Central train had been sold to a tour operator and ran on some trips out of Atlanta. It was later stored on the Pickens Railroad, along with the only other example, built for the New Haven. By then, both sets carried the Explorer logo and this blue and silver paint scheme, that followed the pattern of the NYC set, which was yellow and blue,. As such, in black and white, the train looks like a negative version of its class-one scheme.
