Why is the wayside green for the other direction?

That's not a wayside signal, it is a train order signal.

If I'm correct, the green signal is an order board. Note the operator doing a roll by a safe distance from the train on the left. Also interesting is the appearance of welded rail on the eastbound main.

Awful nice track and roadbed for the Milwaukee in 1983. Try looking at some Bellingham, Wa pictures of the same era.

Anyone know why a loco is behind the first car? Just asking, it seems weird.
