Thank you for sharing this one Bill, a truly unique image for so many of us who were too young to appreciate the scenes that were so quickly disappearing from the landscape.

Please note the yellow insulating box mounted the Link Belt crawler crane performing the lifting in Bill's historic photo. With out that box this could easily become a hair raising situation, or worse !

Thanks for sharing this truly classic scene. When I hired out on the railroad, work extras were quite common. Now most work extras have been replaced by Brandt trucks and outsourced contractors.
