Bear with me here, this train is Amtrak 64, the "Maple Leaf". It leaves Toronto as VIA 97, then at Hamilton (Bayview Junction) it becomes VIA 96, which then becomes CSX P064 at Niagara Falls NY at the east end of the Whirlpool Rapids bridge there. 63 becomes VIA 95 (?) upon crossing the Whirlpool bridge and then VIA 98 at Bayview Junction.

cmdrflake, I am not sure where you are getting your information but it is entirely incorrect. VIA 97 (AMTK 64) operates from Toronto to Niagara Falls, and VIA 98 (AMTK 63) operates from Niagara Falls to Toronto. There is NO symbol change at Bayview Junction.

Who would have known then that 145 would be headed for future glory. Or that it would have been on the same train at the same spot almost two years later to the day (click the train or engine number!).
