Wow, wasn't aware that these engines were still operating! Is this engine still used in day to day freight service? Also, how many of these are operating?

Nicholas, this locos are used today only by rail contractors. One unit by NEOPUL, one unit by FERGRUPO, one unit by FERROVIAS (as shown in the image) and two units by SOMAFEL.
