Hard to believe that the locos never worked for The Rock again apart from rounding up stranded freight cars. A sad end to a popular railroad.

After seeing this great photo, I have come to the conclusion that I was born 10 years too late. This is living proof that the 1970s was a great time to be a railfan, then in 1980, we lost the Rock, John Lennon, and the Frisco.

Thank you for sharing this photo. This was my grandfathers favorite and I took it on as my favorite and collect all model size I can afford. I wish I could have seen this myself and again thanks.
