This picture is a cover shot for a Rock Island book. I look at the character of the RI in Chicago. I can feel cold winter snow and steam all around. I see Rocket and the Commuter side by side keeping people warm and safe. I see the big Joliet signal bridge protecting six diamonds and holding the scene together. Thank you Dan for this shot and the many uploaded recently. I miss the route of the Rockets.

I sure hope I'll see an interior shot of the tower from which this was taken. I worked there from 1962 to about 1969.
