Great timewarp shot, and in color too. The CN sleeper is most likely on a pool assignment. During the Depression of the 30's, CN and CP joined forces to eliminate wasteful duplication of services, with the result being known as "pool trains". This lead to the pooling of equipment, so prehaps the CN sleeper is just in from Ottawa.

Great Great Great Great shot! That CNR E sleeping car is on one of the pool trains either from Toronto or from Quebec city.

Excellent shot! I almost did not recognize the location, today's commuter station here is a far cry from this scene. For a current view of this scene take a look at photoid 237166 , which is shot on my 2008 trip to Montreal. Thanks for sharing!
