Another great shot Don, Ah yes Attleboro in PC Days, not as Colorful as the NH by a long shot and not much freight activity anymore. But still busy, and only because of the NH's Excellent Trackwork could these trains and the Trubo Train make those speeds. DavekfromUP

Man, oh man. This shot brings it back for me. The E8s really put on a show here for a while given they had twin 12-567B engines. Their extra power compared to the FL9s that had been there prior to Amtrak, was noticeable- and how! They shot down hill from Sharon and but for a 50 MPH curve they could have been doing 90 between Mansfield and Attleboro, like the Acela does now without extra fares for the riding public.
