Well that there is a rare form of GP50, the GP50L which has an extended cab to make room for the rear-end conductor. Another attempt at making room for a 5 man crew back when cabooses were in limbo. Much like GE's attempt with the BQ23-7. It's nice to see these still around.

Yes you are correct. With the #3158 and another GP50L being the only GP50's around here, my mind just associated the two as being the same.
