Rich - Thanks for sharing a photo of Pennsy's very first GG1. I definitely prefer the Pennsy tuscon colors to the Conrail blue.

This is no way to treat a dignified old lady. I hope the railroad museum has better luck than Conrail.

Great classic photo Rich. Jeff is right. This is the very first GG1 ever built. If you take a close look you can see the rivets on the body. This was the only GG1 built for PRR with a riveted body. Future GG1's all had smooth welded bodies.

This gg1 was in pretty rough condition when i last saw it at the RR museum of P.A. Hope they fix her up again.

I would prefer a fresh coat of Conrail blue than what she looks like now.
