It is still hard to believe that D&RGW didn't dieselize their narrow gauge lines. This picture is wonderful and Kodachrome preserved it for us to see all these years later.

Beautiful photo with the snow and steam. This looks like that good sticky snow, notice how it is clinging to the plants and the code line. Very nice effect!

Amazing shot and well deserved PCA. Amazing - and slightly painful - to realise that I actually lived in the USA at that time, albeit 2,000 miles away, and I was only 7 !

Incorporating the pole line in your photography, rather than just shoot the locomotive hardware, shows how much taste and talent you had then. (And still do.)
