In my opinion, this Q paint scheme still stands as one of the best applied to modern diesel locomotives.

Agreed. I'm certainly glad that Bloomer continued the scheme, but that looks great.

This brings back tonnes of memories including being invited up in the cab. The neatest thing since sliced bread. Now, if we could come up with a pair of brass model plates.

Very beautiful locomotive. Its nice to see a preserved SD24. Isn't there supposed to be an SD24 designation plaque on the battery boxes on either side?
