..."Go west young man"!...that must have been the call you heard! Gorgeous image Mitch...certainly my vote for PCA....maybe an S/C?

I'm just stating the obvious here, but, wow, spectacular shot, Mitch! Not sure why no SC, but I'd wager you've got a PC on its way.

Mitch... Amazing shot! By far the best 4449 shot I've seen so far from the trip East. Now... Why no SC? Oh well, you got my PCA vote.

Great choice of location. Good scenery, good lighting and the curve of the track emphasizes the daylight colors of the engine and tenders, and minimizes stuff like the diesel and mismatched consist. I'd probably have to agree with Steven that this is the best of the 4449 bunch so far.

Is that "Green" Steam? No smoke or steam to be seen. Must be saving it for the big rail weekend in Michigan.

Ahh, so that's where you've been. Great shot, beautiful setting and of course a gorgeous train.

Stellar shot Mitch! PCA here.

Excellent composition as it virtually obliterates the anacronistic (and unnecessary) diesels

Leaving Troy on the way to Libby. This country is very beautiful and wild. Grizzly bear can be seen around this river. My wife's family introduced me to the country and the fishing! One of the last great places! Thanks for such a great shot! I use such shots for my computer screen. Louis Partney

Great composition! Keep up the great work.

Beautiful scene Mitch! This would've been an SC if I'd screened it. But then, a PoTW beats an SC anytime!

Wow! Tide and train, train may be back but tide never. Absolute work.

Where and how can I buy a print of this one? I'd LOVE to have this in my model railroad room!

God created the scenery. Man created the train. This is as nearly perfect as a train picture can be. This is one of those shots that I show to my wife and say "see we should go there."

I just had to chime in on this one, what an incredibly beautiful photo. John

I have a feeling you're not in Pennsy anymore! Beautiful scene & image! Email me when you get back.

Lovely scene Mitch! Would have loved to have been up there myself, but circumstances forced a last second change in plans. I'll just have to settle for admiring other's shots...like this gem.
