You have a lot of awesome pans Mitch, but this has to be one of the all-time best. Extra sharp, rods down, nice plume, great crew poses and the blur really does say EXPRESS! I see a "Top Shots" e-mail headed your way!

Of you many great pan shots I think this is my favorite. Nicely balanced, great sense of speed, classic little engine, rods down, tack sharp.....it is the classic pan.

I am getting my ticket online as we speak. Some day we will find out that these images are not real photos but rather nicely done illustrations. Yes Mitch has talent. In the mean time let me just say wow.

I like how it shows the various places from which water and steam escape a steam locomotive while making speed. Except for the Igloo cooler on the front edge of the tender this could have been a photo from the early days of color film on a regular service passenger route.
