Looks very much like Tehachapi. Cool!

Oh how I miss these rumbling over the Mt. Lofty ranges. Nothing quite like the blast from the S5T's either! South Australia has a climate almost the same as southern California. But our ranges have nowhere near as much elevation.

Nice photo, a slight correction, bankers are locos pushing on the back of a train. The GM's are not "banking"

The C was added after the failure of a G during the night, hence the very late running. This train stalled shortly after at Nairne and was pushed through to Mt Lofty by a following National Rail with BL-C-600 from memory.

Very nice! Gotta rip that spot off when I go next month! After google-earthing, it would appear to be right over the top of the hill across a farmer's paddock along the access road on the freeway? Petwood grade-crossing back around the corner behind the train?
