If I remember correctly the B&O Did get a couple of the FT Sets. The ERIE got the rest and continued to run them till they we're traded for new power in the 1960's. I believe the F-3s went to the WP and ERIE also. NYC & RI got the NW2's. DaveKfromUP

Wonderful series as usual Bob. It was a shame these units were scrapped since the railroad's shop forces actually did a great job in maintaining them. They were in excellent, ready to work condition so they would have the greatest chance to be sold. But by this time the railroads were looking at Geeps instead of old-fashioned covered wagons.

It was my understanding that except for those few FTs that went to the B&O, the remainder were eventually bought by the NYC and used as trade-in credit on new EMDs. Two of the O&W F3 cab units went to the Sacramento Northern, and were painted in a Western Pacific-like scheme.
