Eighteen years later, I was riding my bike down to this location and thinking I was the first railfan to ever be there. Sadly, I usually went without a camera and when I did have one, I didn't know what I was doing. Bob, your wonderful, wonderful, wonderful images are just a treasure, both as photographs and for all of our memories.

Bob, I love these Erie shots, thanks again for posting. The quality is amazing! My Dad used to catch the train here before we moved to Ridgewood. Jim

In addition to the great shot of the RS-2 you were able to get two crossing shanties as well and that is something that I find so cool about this shot. Thanks for posting!

Oh, that shot brings back some memories! The Erie units had one note honkers, and they smoked like a steel mill when they had to pull hard. The Stillwell coaches were rough riding, with hard bench seats, covered with rattan. Given the chance, I'd ride them again.
