Bridges, bridges, bridges. I didn't know John Allen modeled the CN! Great shot.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear this is a great model layout, but it is very real.

This is a great spot for railfanning and I love the Fraser Canyon it is a great place to just "go for a drive" and only about an hour from downtown Vancouver! The CP bridge (lower one) is one of the only bridges left in North America with stone supports! They keep it in really good condition but is a really good piece of history. Bulding the CPR mainline through the Fraser and Tompson Canyons was a huge challange and a lot of people died just building this small stretch of track especially the Chineese; they say that one Chineese man died for every mile of the track across Canada. Pretty dangerous work but is now a huge piece of Canadian history and the CPR is what brought Canada together as a nation. Riding the train on the CPR is a great experience and is apperently (according to Rocky Mountaineer Railtours) "The most spectacular train trip in the world."
