Neat shot Georg. This vertical-boilered cog engine looks very much like the early engines on Mt. Washington here in the US. Sadly, only one of our early engines survives and it is not capable of running. Thanks so much for sharing. Good to see that the preservation movement is so strong over in Europe.

Georg - Thanks for sharing this unique image. Hats off to the organization who owns this piece of history, for maintaining it, and allowing it to operate on the railroad.

I was fortunate to visit this museum in 2007 and just got to tell you it is great. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours in it if you go.When they say Transport,they mean it. It's got every mode of transportation from trains to spacecraft.
