Excellent picture and a PCA vote here!
Another awe-inspirng shot from "Dewitz-ard of light", but I'd be really nervous standing that close to a hydro pole during an electrical storm!
Looks great, Travis. The sky is killer!
"Dewitz-ard of light" comes through yet again! I'm thinking the name is going to stick. Great shot and lucky catch in more ways then one.
Ben Franklin would be proud. Nice story this photo tells.

PCA+Favorite from me... hubba hubba ding dong!
A very nice photo, Travis. Keep up the excellent work!
Nice work. Defiantly worth getting wet for.
Beautiful shot Travis.
What a great shot Travis! I love it.
Wow, love the scene and the colors!
I guess if you're gonna get soaked, this is the best way to come out of it - with a stunning image. Marvelous!
Very nice, how wet did the camera and lens get

Incredible shot Travis!
Just to add to your wonderful image Travis...really nice catch on those last remaining CNW units.
Worthy of attention even without the lightning. I'm a fan of code lines and this night version is a beaut.
Very nice, but for the love of pete, be safe! The greatest shot in the world isn't worth the risk of being hit by lightning, and that could have easily happened here.

New meaning for the term "lightening slinger". Awesome shot.
One of your best shots so far, Travis. Doesn't look fake like your others. ;-) PCA vote for sure, and, also an awesome catch with the CNW beasts.

Amazing rail and weather picture, PCA vote from me to.
Great photo, great timing!
Lightning, thunder, both remaining CNW units, what more can you ask for! Awesome shot Travis!
Tavis - Great photo! You captured it all in this one (back lit area, glistening rails, codeline poles, lightning, ominous and colorful sky, locomotive headlight cutting through darkness, and this list goes on....). Good job.
PCA vote & I have added this to my favorites.
Travis. I am in awe! Another sensational addition to your extreme rail and storm shots.
Stunning shot of the two remaining CNW units in active service with a storm to boot! Sad news from what I understand is these two units are listed to head to storage from the economy downturn when time allows them to be pulled from service. Regaurdless, PCA, Plus One Of My Favorites Seen Online.
Simply spectacular, Travis -- nothing else I can say that hasn't already been said by those above. (OK, "haunting" -- that hasn't been said. Just wow.)
"Dewitz-ard of light" hahaha. I don't know if that will stick or not.
"The sky is killer" literally.
"Very nice, how wet did the camera and lens get"... Very wet. I ran out of the house and didn't bring a towel for my lens or my rain cover for my camera. I tried to sheild the camera the best I could and when done shooting I flipped the camera over and pulled the batteries. Everything is still good to go with the old 40d.
Thank you all for the great comments!
Unbelievable work Travis. Well deserving of all the accolades. Thanks for sharing.
Wow the sky is amazing! PCA from me.
Great shot and timing, love those colors! Well done.
That is a good picture. A train and a thunderstorm at the same time.
What luck to get the un-patched CNW unit in such a great shot! I'm jealous!!
Great Shot
CNW Lightning Bolts with actual lightning. Amazing. Can't beat that for a CNW photo in 2009!
These kinds of images should be making you money, send it to TRAINS!!!!!!!
Well done Travis, the CNW, and storm light goes great togather!

A beautiful photo indeed, even 12 years later!
