One of my few memories of steam is of one of these furiously slipping he drvers while switching a local mill in Chilhowie, VA.

I own an HO scale brass version of this fine looking "K2a" class steam locomotive. Owning a small scale version of any real-life engine or rolling stock is an excellent way of keeping our memories of them alive .
