Wow, what a tight fit! So, they're putting Crisco on the sides, obviously. Don't tell some railfans, they'll stop the train and lick the sides of the cars! :-) Great shot, Andrew, wonderful composition too, showing how narrow that tunnel really is. Very cool.

I love seeing shots of this tunnel. They actually "widened" it a a few years ago.

They actually 'deepened' the tunnel on two occasions to be able to run doublestacks over the line, believe it or not. They may have also needed to carve out a little more of the inside to make this possible as well.
