Allow me to be the first to comment on a photo that I am sure will make the big time here on railpics! Your conditions couldn't have been better and this photo has no evidence of when it was taken! A wonderful piece of history captured in such a wonderful way! I love also how this photo shows the stages the semaphor dropped in.

Hum, let me guess... you pulsed your flash 3 times right? Well exposed sky and semaphore plus the 3 stages depicting movement makes this one an exceptionnal picture. Great work Frank!

Correction, you must have pulsed your flash TWO times while the initial position is lighted by the surroundings... Am I wrong again? LOL!

I love semaphores, period! This has to be one of the best semaphore, railroad, mechanical, night,....pick the proper term, photos I have ever seen. TREMENDOUS photo, Frank!!!!
