MKT 152 is an ALCo RS3 repowered with an EMD 16-567C prime mover. It was repowered in 1959. It was one of the former MKT ALCo RS3s from the MKT 1559-1561 number series. Other MKT repowered RS3 locomotives which utilized the EMD long hood were MKT 142-143 (ex-MKT 1701-1702) and MKT 146 (ex-MKT 1553). MKT also had some repowered BLH AS616s (EMD 16-567C), BLW DS4-4-10s (EMD 12-567C), and BLH S12s (EMD 12-567C S12s) which also used EMD long hoods. Other MKT/EMD repowered locomotives were ALCo FA1 and FA2 locomotives (EMD 16-567C). All of the above locomotives were repowered by EMD.
