Near the interlocker was a turn table on the Wabash. I was told it was for turning the commuter locomotives back in the steam days. I wonder if the turn table is still there?

Yes, as a kid I do remember seeing the Wabash/NW turntable there at least through the 70's. However, I don't know if it was operational then, and I have no idea if it's still there today, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's probably not.

Dig the condition of that siding.
And apparently the turntable is still there. The city of Forrest web site shows plans to build a park around it.
