OK, so why does the conductor have a red circle drawn around his lower body part ??

Great capture Chris. I love the long exposure and how you captured the steam blowing in the wind and the conductors lantern signals.

I believe that is his lantern swinging, to signal the engineer.
Shows as a circle due to the long exposure.
