Thanks for the comments... the illumination, after the after the head of the locomotive passed, was provided by halogen flashlight.

Rob, this is quite possibly the coolest semaphore shot that I've ever seen, especially capturing the blade moving back to the "Stop" position. Great illustration of how the railroad phrase of "knocking a signal down" originated. Simply brillant!
