I'm sorry that I had a slip of the pen,I wrote the "A pair of SS4G were leading about a hundred cars back to Datong" to"A pair of SS4G werw leading about a hundred cars back to Datong".

That's quite a display of modern freight railroading! Did you take a photo just before the two trains passed each other? I might prefer that to this one, although I certainly like this one. I had a great time photographing steam locomotives in China, but seeing photos like this really make me wish I'd spent some time on the electrified mainlines. That's the real story of Chinese railroading in the 21st century.
