A marvelous, classic image! Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures of railroads in a different era; it's amazing, at this point in time, to contemplate all of the flags that still existed in the mid-60s.

From what I've read, no one would have wanted the maintenance-nightmare Winston Tunnel. Great photo, I'll be at the NRHS show in Rockford Saturday.

Thanks for posting this picture of a station where I once worked! I have forgotten some details about how the tracks and signals were arranged. I may have been working there on or near the date this photo was taken.

Thats a hot potato photo just out the oven baked and ready fer a spoon of butter on top. What a birds eye view before the Age of Drone. Those GP-30 units got quite a load on back. Sure is nice to share all the info with us. Thanks you guys.
