Great picture of a small detail in many interlockers. For fans of the IC and the CGW, the levers in Dubuque Junction looked like these.

For those who view this photo and have never been to Marion, Ohio, it is an interesting location to watch trains. On the west side of Downtown Marion is the Marion Union Station, that is a museum, with a room that houses a Searchlight, Dwarf, Tri-color, Semiphore, and CPL Signals that visitors can operate and control via supervision of a staff volunteer. (When the museum/station is open in the summer - mostly weekends Sat./Sun. but it varies.) Also, the interlocking and board in the former Pennsy/Conrail AC Tower Museum are operational and visitors can actually "Line a train through Marion" on the functional but display only interlocking board, again under supervision of a staff volunteer. The telegraph also is functional and two people can "communicate" with each other from the tower to the station, as long as there is someone in the station at the time. Spending time in the tower they have scanners so visitors can listen to the CSX and NS traffic/dispatchers. It is an interesting and fun place to visit if you get a chance to get there.
