Nicely captured Steve. A bit of, well alot of, the human element and perfect framing and composition (depth of feild). Looks like a pic Kelly Lynch uploaded a while back, or his looks like yours, or both of them look like - well, regardless, not shot to easily duplicate.

I love this photo, if any thing depicts the pride anyone person can have in running a steam locomotive it is shown very well in this photo! Well Done!

I'm really glad you have decided to post here Steve. In every shot you do, the compo is different and perfectly illustrates a facet of railroading mere mortals don't see. How do you do that? Your work is raising the already high bar around here!

Warm heart and actually outstanding composition between the elder engineer and his iron horse. Absolute work as always but this shot is spacially impressive.
