If the 10-6 sleeper is indeed Silver Rapids, its origin is with the Pennsylvania Railroad, not Burlington. As Pennsy's only contribution to the California Zephyr pool, it was purchased to provide through New York-Oakland service. When coast-to-coast service ended, the car was withdrawn from the train and lettered for Pennsy, in PRR's Clarendon-style lettering, but retained the car name (almost all Pennsy 10-6 cars were in the "Rapids" series) and full-length skirts. I managed a picture of it later in life, in Chicago wearing Amtrak colors. It's great to see these cars preserved, restored, and back on Keddie Wye!

I wish those 3 California Zephyr coaches will soon in the future be part of NKP #765's excursion!
