A sad end for a little bit of Alco history. Too bad you didn't have a can of white spray paint, as a final tribute you could have modified the warning on the dumpster in the background. "NoT Trash, ALCO metal only"

It's a shame to see this engine make such an undignified exit. I recall that when I was down there in '04 it wasn't doing much of anything, but at least it was on rails. See Photo ID 57031 for that shot.
