It's too bad the SP didn't make silver trucks the standard for "black widow" units, it really does make them stand out.

It's amazing to me how a simple paint scheme of only four colors and a very basic design pattern can be so beautiful! I think the silver trucks are nice but, I would've stuck with Espee's original black trucks. I love the return of the full Espee light package too. It looks like she just rolled off the line at E.M.D.

There is a precedent for silver trucks on a black widow hood unit. When Espee painted its two ex-F-M Trainmaster demonstrators into company colors, they left the trucks in their opriginal silver for some time. Those F-M demos were also the first hood units to carry the black widow scheme.
