Everyone should know not to try and out do MG on a pace shot, it never pans out :) Another beauty.

I think Mitch is the one of the top pan experts on RailPhoto. I have tried pan shots looking at the images created by earlier photographers such as J P Lamb , Don wood and Victor Hand. I have only come close to getting acceptable images. I think getting good a good pan is a mater of camera skill, proper equipment and perfect timing. Then add to this knowledge of terrain, train scheduling and high physical endurance. In the end it may be 10 percent skill and 90 percent determination and presperation. Thank you Mitch.
