Poor thing, covered in graffiti, no number boards and off to the scrap heap. It's come a long way from hauling high priority trains over Donner. Thanks for catching it in it's final hours.

Glad your were able to catch the SP 8283 prior to shipment for scrapping. The UP 2967(operating), a former CNW SD40-2 also shown in this photo may also head to the scrapper some time in the near future as well. The UP is showing that the former "Nose-Belled" units are showing up in storage lots. Nice Catch!

She is still alive in Georgia all she's doing is giving parts away & rusting away.
