Canadian Pacific never owned an F7 cab unit, as all their GMD B-B cabs were elongated FP7s and FP9s. They were used in passenger (1400- series), and freight (4000-series), with some renumbered from one group to the other according to need. CP's only other GMD cabs were three E8s, which represented the total sum of passenger-specific, A1A-A1A cab units sold in Canada.
