Fort Knox military base had two of these Fairbanks Morse H12-44s, and both Kentucky, Railroad Museums asked for them and they both got only one. The sad part of this story is that neither museum got two, thus neither museum has spare parts and both units apparently are out of service. The second H12-44 is at the Bluegrass Railroad Museum in Versailles, Ky.

Curious what KRM's needs? Bluegrass Railways runs fine, but had a major generator failure. Shame the two can't work something out and have at least one running. I'd guess just the cost of moving one of the two is probably prohibitive enough for either of the two to make it happen.
